Our pediatricians are on staff at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula-this includes the nursery and the pediatric floor.

At birth, all babies are given a complete newborn exam and we will visit you and your baby daily while you are in the hospital and keep you updated on your new baby’s progress.

If your baby should have issues (prematurity, respiratory difficulties, etc.), we work closely with UCSF Children’s Hospital Neonatologists (who are also on staff) to bring your new baby the best care possible.

For mothers, we give breastfeeding guidance and encouragement. Two of the best lactation specialist in the county, Sonja Massey and Carol Jungwirth, see mothers and babies in our office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

We are the only pediatric practice in Monterey to offer lactations services to our new moms!

We routinely see babies in our office within 2-3 days of going home from the hospital.
